We’ve lost our focus and may just be fighting the wrong fight. Jeremiah was imprisoned for doing the right thing and yet God gave Him an amazing encouragement that is for us as well.

Give your prayer some time. In Ecclesiastes 5:2, Solomon reminds us that our prayer can often be hasty, but sometimes we should let our words be few and listen to God for a while. A good friendship is a two-way street. A good conversation is too. Shouldn’t our prayer-time with God be the same?
