There are a lot of very loud and swole personalities out there that would have you believe that an alpha male is about dominance and competition. In the animal kingdom, with a real wolf pack, it’s actually something quite different. The lesson for us is profound and important and far more simple.

While I’m not entirely sure why, I was directed to teach from Nehemiah over the next 3 weeks. As we re-gather, it feels appropriate to challenge ourselves whether we care or not. Do we care enough about our neighbour to love them? Do we care enough about our church to rebuild the walls that have crumbled this last couple of years. There are valuable lessons to be found in Nehemiah’s example. May we come to a place where we can easily say “Here I am Lord, send me.”
